RACE COVID
MODIFICATIONS AND
SAFETY GUIDELINES

 

As of January, 7, 2022. Watch for Final Runners’ Instructions to be emailed two weeks prior to the event.

The Rotary Clubs of Lakeland are taking the following steps to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone attending the 2022 Rotary Twilight 5k. These guidelines are subject to change.

This event will be 100% outdoors.

CLEANING AND
SANITIZATION

 

We are working to reduce touch points for participants and provide cleaning and sanitization methods for volunteers and staff.

Distributing sealed, bottled water and finisher medals away from the finishDistributing pre-packaged snacks away from the finishProviding race results away from the finish using kiosks and QR CodesAwards will be picked up at Fleet Feet- Lakeland during February.
Hand sanitizer will be available for use at the portable toilets, and race results stations.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE
EQUIPMENT

 

Event staff and volunteers will follow the local requirements for face masks where social distancing is not possible, when handing out water and pre-packaged snacks.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

 

Participants are strongly encouraged to wear a mask before the start and after the race, where social distancing is not possible.

Participants who are, or who live with someone in the high-risk group defined by the CDC, should be cautious about participating. Participants should stay home if they are sick or have been in contact with someone who was sick in the past 14 days.
