ABOUT Lakeland Rotary Clubs Twilight 5K

For 21 years, the four Lakeland Rotary Clubs have been conducting a Twilight 5K Run to raise money for construction and ongoing maintenance of the Common Ground Playground. Common Ground Playground is a very, popular place that features experiences for children of all abilities. There are many features in the playground that allow those with disabilities play alongside all other children.

More than $400,000 has been raised and donated by the Lakeland Rotary Clubs to the City of Lakeland for Common Ground Playground.  This annual event is a combined effort organized by the Lakeland Rotary Clubs with Lakeland’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, with many sponsors, supporters, and volunteers who contribute to the events success.
